So yeah, that’s a quote from Nick Fury from the Avengers movies, but it fits. The idea was that my family and I were looking for a way to earn some money through “passive income”. We researched for months, and came up with a plan to “someday” create a company where we could sell no-content and low-content books on Amazon - eventually publishing actual books.
We planned on starting in January 2021 so we could plan ahead, get our finances in order, start in a new tax year, and have tons of products set up waiting for us. It didn’t actually turn out that way.
We created an LLC in the beginning of August and then it snowballed into a business email and phone, a checking account, a KDP account, social media accounts, and half a dozen software packages. Based on videos we watched, we decided to take some of our book cover patterns and turn them into Redbubble designs as well.
What does our future hold? Well, it’s the end of August and I have to say we’re off to a good start. We sold a few books, but we still have a lot to learn.
