November Was Exciting…

November turned out to be an exciting month for us. We actually sold more books than we expected, but most of them were because of the Amazon ads we’ve been running. In fact, if it wasn’t for the ads, we probably would have sold just one book. So what were our most popular books this month?  I would have to say it would be our Christmas coloring book and our Christmas activity book. This tells me that we need to continue making these.

We’re currently trying to read a products report we created from Amazon ads for the month of November. We hope to discover what books people are actually searching for, what books attracted clicks without a sale, and other interesting facts which will help me improve our inventory and chances to increase sales. Ads that collected many clicks without a sale tell us that people were interested in the cover enough to look deeper, but there was something about the book they didn’t like - whether it was the interior or the description of the product. Either way, these numbers can only help.

We haven’t paid any attention to our Redbubble store this past month, so obviously, there haven’t been any sales. We created a new YouTube channel for relaxation videos called Sunset Creative Videos and posted a trial video on there. Many someday when we’re more successful in our book-making business we will pay more attention to these projects.

The blood pressure logbooks we created at the end of October generated some sales, including our first hardcover sales. This month we created a fitness planner/weight loss journal with two cover designs, each in both paperback and hardcover. We hope to make sales on these soon. Right now, we are working on a debt management planner with a focus on paying off debt using the snowball method. Hopefully, this one will be available for sale by next week.

As always, if you have any suggestions on what book products you would like to see us produce, let us know in the comments below. If you have any questions about details on anything we’ve learned on this journey so far or even if you have constructive criticism about our blog or our website, again let us know. We’ll have more next month!
